FTP into your xbox then go to your games directory then go to the maps folder and overwrite it.
Edit: By the way your xbox has to be modded.

If it is not modded, please head to Xbox-Scene to learn how.
If it is modded, find me on AIM and I will teach you how to add games to your Xbox through the File Transfer Protocol.

It MUST be modded to use any of the mods you see on this site.
Head to
Xbox-Scene to learn how to mod it.
Once it is modded, come back and ask us how to add games to your Xbox and we will teach you how to FTP.

Well, we can see if your Xbox is already correctly connected to your network.
Head to
FlashFXP's website and download the latest version of it. (You do not have to do this, but FlashFXP is one of the better FTP clients.)
Once download, hit f8. This will pull up a Quick Connect dialog box.
Fill in the server of IP area with the IP displayed on your Xbox, then fill in the user name and password with "xbox" (minus the quotes.)
If it connects, then you are good to go.
If not, it is most likely a small subnet error or your network is just a little different than everyone elses.
If you still have problems/questions, feel free to find me on AIM.

Two more questions for you:
1) Do you have Halo 1/2 backed-up onto your HDD?
2) And which game would you like to go about modding?

It does matter.
The way that we mod the two different games is unlike the other.
Here are some tutorials for applying patches, and
here is a tutorial for getting Halo 2 maps to work.
