Hand Positions

No matter what I do they are never correct. I have started a minigun (which is beautiful looking by the way) if only I could get the characters to hold it right. This is for Halo 2.

I started off remodeling the rocket launcher because I wanted the barrels to spin. However, because of no bones, it does not do that. After fooling around with hand positions I could never get it right so I gave up on that and tried replaced the brute shot model.

In the model file the brute shot is angled up. Which makes since because when I changed the rocket's animation to the brute shots in hopes it would lower it down, it made the rocket point down while in the model file it was level. So I imported the brute shot model and lined my model up with it, then injected my model. However, now when I inject my model the hand positions get screwed up. The right hand is further out that normal so he holds the gun out farther. Also his left hand is up in the air and bent down like a ninja pose. So I adjusted the marker for left hand in entity within the model file itself. Also, when I injected he held the minigun up in the air at the angle that the gun was in the model file! Why is that happening? If the brute shot was angled up why doesnt MC hold the brute shot up in the air like that?

This is giving me way to much trouble but I wanted to release it here and thats still my plan but with the game out to get me Im not sure thats going to happen.

models can be a pain in the ass. Just keep fooling around with it. Also about the brute model thing, yeah they are going to be angled. just look at my guitar i made, it's model was angled when injected it. If you have an instant messanger of any kind, post it. it would make helping you easier.

Unfortunately I dont have an instant messenger. I do have an IRC chat on my website, but that might be a hassle for you.

But I really dont understand whats wrong with it. After injecting it at the same angle as the brute shot it comes out that angle in the game while the brute shot does not! Plus its the same marker points as the original brute shot, so technically his hands should be in the exact same spot as the original brute shot.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hmm, I guess no one knows about this then? Im still just wondering why when I inject it over the brute shot, it changes the hand positions when the only thing changed is the model. If the stupid hand positions would stay as the brute shot had them then the model would fit perfectly.

However, when I inject it, it seems to change them. I would really love a solution to this!!!
