the plasma grenade is not a weapon there for you can not make it @uto aim, u can however make it homing when u throw it.

Don't double post, the rules says 5 days.

Interesting qustion though, it should be possible. Maybe if you compare the plasma grenade projectile with the rocket launcher and plasma pistol charged bolt projectiles.
Try playing around with it, maybe you figure it out yourself, and woulden't it feel good to achieve it yourself? ;)

Considering the throw goes where your reticle is, it's not going to be possible to give it auto aim, because such is stored in a weapon, and no weapon is used in the throw.

The Big Man is speaking assuming Halo 2's tag system is like Halo 1 in regards to these few things. The .proj is what contains the homing data, i.e. Needler, and would have to be designated within said tag.

The .weap tag contains auto-targeting, as well as magnetism, in Halo 2.

The Big Man believes that there is a miscommunication between himself and Tural. The Big Man believes that Tural misinterpreted homing for automatic-aiming due to the word-association Tural made regarding weapon properties, rather than projectiles.

Isn't your definition of "homing" the same as my definition of "magnetism;" the ability of the projectile to change direction while in air in order to hit it's target?

Magnetism, located in the [weap] tag does not allow any projectile to change direction in the air or in any case at all in order to hit the target.
The [weap]'s magnetism refers to when holding the weapon, the user will turn to follow (to a degree) where their enemy is to help aim depending on whether or not, or how strong the magnetism is on the [weap].

As far as I know, a plasma grenade cannot be autostuck...You can give the plasma_grenade.proj some homing properties but it would only work if you're crosshair is red...Seeing as how the crosshair only seems to affect the weapon your using not your grenades, it will most likley not work...

I havn't tried though :P

The Big Man believes that the Plasma Pistol proves that to be incorrect.

..................

OMFG

The ghost of Lockout was a glitch in which the game did not load the player's animations, so you just couldn't see him throwing it. He didn't have autostick.

Just go to the Proj tag and set the Plasma 'nade Inital and Final speed to about 10 (both) then set both Homing/Turning Ability to 5 (the first one is how much it tracks, the second is how sharp it can turn to track).

Last, just turn weight/arc to 0 so it doesnt fall...

Then, swap a weapons Proj. Dependency to Plasma Nade and Voiala! Tracking Plasma 'nades!
