[Halo 2] Having trouble loading Halo 2 serenity-patched maps

I don't know wether it's that I placed the map in the wrong place, or what, but when I patched Gemini with the "covenant shaft" mod or whatever, I used the mainmenu.map function. ( I have placed the map both in the tdata area where gemini is, and the acutal maps folder from when I copied Halo 2 to my HDD) Yeah, that worked out great, I could see my description that I made and everything, and the picture was white, ( I never put a picture in), but when I loaded the level, it really didn't load- it just blacked out the screen, and I heard the "fwooshing" noise of a new menu coming up, and I was returned to the level-startup screen. Anyone know what I may have done wrong? Must I check the map like I do in .sppf format now, or something? (Don't flame, I read the tutorial here on the site.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yeah when you use Serenity and the mainmenu function, it is going to add your map to the mainmenu. Therefore the tdata folder has nothing to do with it. Just try signing both of your maps and ftp them into your Halo 2 maps directory.

Yeah, just one problem- the tutorial says the map is signed automatically.... ? Err.... If so, signing isn't necissary.... Oh well, worth a shot- I kinda accidentally trashed it, and I had like 3 files in the trash- I guess it's possible I grabbed the wrong one, thanks.

Thats an autoupdate issue. remove or disable your autoupdate, and they should load fine. Always put the maps in your Halo 2 folder, not the Tdata one, and for hte record, Serenity does automatically sign your maps for you..unless you are TDATA modding...which would be bad. = /
