Taking forever to load?

Is it just for me but if you have halo 2 on your HD does it take like 5 minutes to load a map? If not, does anyone know a way to speed this up?

Er...probably just you. Try emptying your cache.

No it's not just you, and no don't empty your cache. I mean you can if you want to, but that also causes the map to take forever to load. No cache files means you have to reload your shared.map again, which can take a couple of minutes when loading the map. Once your cache is "refreshed" you should load maps just fine. Me, everytime I use my trainer launcher (XORED Mini Launcher) it cleans out my cache automatic, I run my trainers quite often so trust me, I feel your pain. As long as you have those cache files stored from your first fresh load, your maps will load almost instantly.

You could also get a new cable that connects your HDD, DVD drive, and Motherboard all together.
I believe the name of the cable you would want it ATA 100.

For me when I first put it on it takes forever to load the maps (same with newly downloaded mimesis maps) after the first time I use them it loads much faster..

We've established the fact that cache's take time to load..

By the way, an ATA100 cable is like five bucks. At least that's what it is going for at work. (Circuit City)
