How do I use .rar files?

All i know how to use is a .ppf file that i patch stright to the map with dothalo. I also need a program link that will actually work for me to use .sppfs and how do you work a .rar patch? They seem to be everywhere! Please help!

.rar isnt a patch it is how u can send stuff n 1 file like if u were gonna send a folder of stuff 2 people its just a folder and easier 2 send stuff through the internet

ok but i mean how would i use it after i download it? do i need a program to get the patch out of it?

An rar file is not a patch, it is an archive, such as a .zip file. www.rarlabs.com

but when i download it, i can't do anything with it and it asks me what program i should open it with. do i open the .rar file instead of saving it?

just open winrar then go 2 file open and open the file u want 2 open

You need to install WinRar before you can open/extract anything from a .rar file.
