I'm trying to reskin master chief. How do I get rid of the shiney? Everything i try just makes him shinyer or strangely colored. i'm also trying to find the bitmap for the glass part of his visor.

His Visor is a shader. And try using a different DXT format to reduce the shininess.

What should i change it to? also, doesn't some of the shiney come from the reflection bitmaps?
jw, what are all the different DXT formats anyway??

I think the shinyness (how the hell do you spell it?) comes from shaders or cubemaps. One or the other, if not both.

Mode tag for shaders, and the cubemaps are bitmaps so look wherever the bitmaps could be referenced. (Bipd, hlmt, mode)

*sigh* Open either ADI or Dothalo. Find MC's shader. At the dependancies window, click the words LoneIDs. Here you will find various things, such as reflections, bumps, detail maps, his active camo bump, and his diffuse map. Either null out the reflection map/cube map, or reference it to something else.
BTW Shaders are the shad tag...

there is a shinyness value in the shader tag, just set that to 0, that might help.
