I have been looking for a way to have the Bungie map pack on the menu, with the auto update off. I know there is a way because I used to have it. It was a xbe that was hexed. If someone could point me to a tutorial for hex editing the xbe to not have the update it would be awesome. Thanks.

Well if you don't want to do it the hex way, just add the map pack maps to your mainmenu and turn your AU off so you can play them.

If you must do it the hex way, open up default.xbe in a hex editor. Go to offset 0045D738. Once there, change $u to $w (any letter besides u works). Save changes and FTP it back to your xbox.

That makes them fail though. At least it did with the killtrocity map pack. 9 of my maps didn't work.

It works for me, that's the way I have it set up. Are those 9 maps the ones you patched with sppf?

if they are, dont forget to use the encryptomatic signature on them to make them playable.

This will make the Bungie Maps accessable with a modded mainmenu, assuming that you put the maps in your map directory, instead of TDATA.
