How can I play map packs, without disableing my Halo 2 save?

I want to have a map pack and official halo2 on my hdd. But I have 2 Halo 2 on my dash(I know how to change the name), but I read somewhere, don't ask me where(and I did search) that I can edit the default.xbe so it doesn't look for the updated save folder

I'm certain there's a readme text file in the Killtrocity map pack on how to edit the default.xbe. So assuming that's the map pack you wanna play, just look in one of the text files that came in the download.

You can just run the Screencap Trainer, and it will auto-disable the auto-update.
