After using entity to edit my maps it then seliishly (;)) changes the map file in such a way that it rules out insolence...What if I want stuff from insolence?
Is there a way of allowing the map to run in insolence?
Sorry I'm a noob, its my first day. Don't flame me.

specify what you need with insolence. since entity can do all stuff that insolence can i believe, unless you want to use a decent meta editor
so far ive always been able to use insolence after editing a map with entity.

I found out the hard way that I prefer insolence before I do entity but then wanting to go back to its meta editor and how it doesnt give me errors when trying to add new meta which is properly done but entity creates errors...
As for you being able to go back then I don't know the reason why it would do it later...what features did you use and still have it work?
So I just wanna know if there is some kind of thing entity changes to make oit not open in insolence...I should do a hex compare and find out myself but I wanted to ask you guys first

what ive discovered so far is that you have to use either one program to inject stuff. use them both to inject (or add any sort of meta > dupliate) can severly mess up a map. and a duplicated ITMC with entity then the dependency cannot be swapped using insolence. renaming a tag with insolence after you've added meta with entity gives the tag class weird tagnames when using entity again.
mostly i use insolence for tagediting only and entity to inject which is giving me good results.

Ahh ok...Thanks for some of the experiments.
I personally like using insolence for data duplication and editing and then entity for adding chunks and changing placements...Do they mess up? I dont wanna redo another map

since i believe insolence adds it data in another way then entity (since the messups i've had) , i believe its better to use solely entity for adding data. entity got a more proper way of setting things up i think and maybe it mixes up with insolence's way of adding data.
i think if you keep it to editing tags with insolence your map should be ok.
i could be terribly wrong since the noob that i am but its what ive concluded so far after modding maps and multiple messups

Well as I outlined for me entity's adder doesn't work properly for me most of the time...Sometimes it won't add the data I request and sometimes it corrupts completly irrelevant tags ([styl] tag anyone? when was the last time someone edited that for a MP mod)
But thanks for the advice.

hehe the Map-fucker-upper actualy works swell for me

I guess The Swamp fox coded it poorly because it doesn't do what its supposed to
and I used the rebuilder after learning drag and drop does nothing

I just save the stuff I need with recursively and parsed checked and then press the build button and select the .info file. It's like drag and drop, just more steps.

I have stopped using entity for good.
If I do the slightest change using entity my map goes to the recycling bin.
The only thing I can use it for is chunk cloning, and when its done in the scrn tag it doesn't work.
I've also noticed that the alpha is actually more proper than the beta.
Also I was told that ADI is the most proper, That's why I've been using it most.
Maybe that's what has been fucking up my maps severely.
