Halo 1 Maps for Halo 2??

Is there any way, any way at all to convert Halo 1 maps to work with Halo 2? If no, is there any modded map that basically is at least Hang em High for Halo 2? I'm a noob modder that is only fully sure on how to apply mods, not make them and any help would be very much appreciated.

I had one idea though for a modded map. I know that Halo 2 supposedly doesn't work TOO well with any possible Hang em High that could be spawned, but perhaps if one was to fool with the physics a tad bit and maybe a little of the weaponry... maybe add some fall damage, it could really work. Any input on this topic would be nice.

I know no way to convert halo 1 maps to halo 2.
Maybe someday we could remake the halo 1 maps in halo 2 format.
But as far as I know..... the anwser is NO.(that would be cool though)
The grafic are completely differant you would have to make hang em high from skratch.

But then what if we were to modify an existing Halo 2 map then to fully resemble Hang em High?

I just don't see how one could create such mods such as Aerial or Castle in the Sky and not be able to create a map to resemble Hang em. Allow me to rephrase my topic to more of a request then... might someone here give it a shot? Give it a try and make an effort. Now, I know I don't mind if it were a tad of a shotty job or quality. As long as it resembles Hang em High, the weapons and gameplay mechanics are satisfactory, then I know I'm satisfied.

but havn't u noticed all those maps are made out of things from single player or other maps.
hang em high...... wut would u use? maybe shrink the ramps down? I'm not disagreeing. i think that sounds like a great idea, just a great modder would have to do it

Hmm... no, I haven't noticed that, however I do know with at least the ramps, a good deal of possible options could be found in Ascension. I was completely bullshitted by this one "supposed" modder who informed me that all I had to do was resign a Halo 1 map such as Hang em and then rename it to a Halo 2 map name. I tried it and failed, however I tried it with Ascension knowing that they do have some major similarities.

u would need to insert the scenery and blocs and also get the collision working and the skins. a almost half as good remake could be done, or maybe a remake would be even better, but a convertion.... not possible
people remember the question about wut ur voting for... he asked if u could convert a halo 1 map to halo 2 not remake a halo 1 map in halo 2

That was one of my many questions. I'm basically brainstorming outloud to whoever cares to listen and take some interest. The pole was more of a general, broader question. If Hang em High could work AT ALL in Halo 2. Whether it be converting a Halo 1 map to Halo 2 or modifying a Halo 2 map to resemble Hang em.

EDIT: Well, that's about all for me tonight. It's getting late here and I'm pretty tired. I'll check back tomorrow morning.[/b]
