Shadow casts on map from sun
Shadow casts on map from sun
How would I get rid of the casting shadows on beavercreek from the sun? I tried to swap the sky to a generic space one but the shadows are still there. Can anyone help??

Well I checked the [light] tag and nulled everything in there but I could still see the shadows on the m ap even with a dark sky so I dont know how to get rid of it. I know that in the mod "Moon Stronghold" by ScottyGEE on coagulation has no shadows on the map. I think it may be in the bsp I am unsure though. If someone can please help me get rid of the casting shadows from the sun in beavercreek please lemme know and I will give FULL credit when I release my upcoming mod.

OMG you are my hero man. thanks and you will be receiving credit man in my upcoming mod. Gonna be nice!!

EDIT: Wait one more thing. Can you swap skies with Entity? If so, can you explain how to do it? Since I added like 40 chunks to my map, Insolence is being anal and wont let me open it.
Yes I wanted to use Insolence but my map will not open in Insolence due to the high number of chunks I added to it. I was wondering if you could tell me how to swap skies with ADI or entity. I don't have my new sky in my modded map yet. I want a space sky and I can't drag and drop it in Insolence. How can I get the space sky into my map without Insolence? Would you please explain it to me?T1xAnton wrote:You can use mostly any app. I prefer insolence or adi to change skies though.

I am sorry but everyone is mis-understanding me. I DO NOT have the new sky in my map yet. I cant drag it over in Insolence becasue my map will not open in Insolence. I don't just want to "SWAP" the skies, because there is only 1 sky in my map. My problem is getting the "NEW" sky into my map without using Insolence. Sorry for the confusion, but I know how to "SWAP" skies with most any app, I just don't know how to actually "TRANSFER" the new sky over to my map without the use of Insolence.LMP_SMD_UMFHM wrote:swap sky using skyswapper. and don't be fooled by anton you can null the sun and shadows will go away

All you do is open up the campaign map your trying to get the sky from then on the right check the two boxes that start with R and P (if you want you can get the sound but I don't think that skys all have sound) but then hit extract and extract them to your desktop or somewhere else then open up beaver creek and then check the R and P boxes (sound too if you did in the first part) then hit build and select the files you saved then just swap the skies in dothalo or another app. Then go to the scnr tag and find a line that says sky-whatever the beaver creeks sky name is. Then swap it for the sky you want hope it works
