I'm trying to make a .ISO file to burn to a DVD+R disc, but when making the ISO it makes the image file and then sits there and the progress bar stops... I tried to burn that but it didn't register it as DVD stuff in Nero, In Nero it siad it could only burn the file to CD... help here please...

What are you using to make the .iso?
If your trying to burn a game I suggest using Qwix.
It makes .iso that are specifically used for the xbox. I use it and it always works.

I made the ISO but its a CD file.. should I just burn it onto a CD?

does it fit on a cd? if yes then go for it.

well like haiwain modder said (i have idea how to spell that)... he said to use qwix. so i hope u have all necessary files and folders such as media, maps, fonts, etc. put all that properly placed in one folder. select that folder in qwix, make the iso. then open nero burning rom, not startsmart, and go to file>open>and select the iso. check off finalize disc after buring, and burn at about 4x.

ok I know what your doing because of a pm. So I will tell you what to do. Make a folder called halo 2. Then make 3 folders inside. Media, bink, maps. Then inside of maps make a folder called fonts. Fill those in accordingly. Then open xiso. Select the drop down option that says make xiso. Then let it do its thing. Then open NERO startsmart or whatever. Then go over to like the 2nd from last option. Click burn image or whatever. Then let it burn. Then the map pack should be on disc. This works for whatever else also.

but depending on if it is a DVD or CD, u have to make sure u click the right thing on startsmart or it may limit ur data. which is why i nero burning rom and just chose file, open. but hey w.e works man. good luck

Used both they both made halo 2 files which were documented as "image files" and were only burnable to CD, when I select the dvd option instead of the "burn" option it gives me the "info" option, the dvd Icons are gold, CD's are silver and the halo file is silver hence it can only be put on CD for some reason... I've made all the correct folders, used qwix, and Xiso, qwix worked faster but I still made the same file with the same problem.

I use Xiso, i just heard Cxbox is better
