DirectDraw failed to initialize

DirectDraw isn't even supported on my computer anymore... It was working a few months ago though.

I have problems running any program that uses DirectDraw, or d3d. I've reinstalled DirectX and tried a couple NVIDIA drivers that didn't do shit, nothing worked. I can't find anything that even talks about DirectDraw.

Nvidia sucks.

If you have windows XP Service Pack 2, you will need to update Halo to 1.07

if you have windows xp go to this computer right mouse click and then properties. got to the tab hardware and press the first button in the first
___________
l__________l <(this shape)

then you go to the second (third if you count your computer name as 1) one from above (i think it is screenadapters) and then search for your graphics card

go to the second tab and the press the butten with something like this previous control program (i dont know if it is control) and then you got your precious control program and i think it works again then.

cause the problem was made by an update this will remove the update thought.
I hope it helped.

i dont know if i typed everything good cause i have the dutch version of windows xp SP2

and another video card(ati radeon 9800 pro if you want to know)

Might be because of the updates, can I uninstall the Nvidia driver and software and reinstall everything? Or will my computer not be able to show anything on the screen because there are no drivers for the card?

I don't know if you have a video card on your motherboard integreded and you enable that one in you bios setup. i think (I DIDN'T TEST AND I'M NOT SURE) you could use that one to install the invidia card and then disable it again. (BUT ONCE AGAIN I DIDN'T TEST AND I'M NOT SURE!!!)
