Marine Gun Issues

Well, Im not a big biped fan, but I need a marine in coagulation. Bad part is that the animations for evert gun is wierd.

As you can see, the shotgun is comming out of his back and shooting straight up. How do I fix:

a. The gun in the middle of the marine
b. Duel Wielding

Thanks for your time and any help or ideas would be perfect!

Well if you swap the biped instead of the [hlmt] it should hold the guns right (But that would most likley break SLC) Talk to TheFlyingDutchman or xheadshotmastax, they are good with bipeds and sorts. As for the dual weilding, Marines do not have anitmations for it, so I doubt you could get them to dual weild.

dual wielding won't be possible... which bipd did you apply the hlmt to? if you take the masterchief the marine won't have an auto-aim reflexive.. however once you do the marine hlmt on the elite it does have auto-aim...

for the hands, they can be setup in BIPD tag. click the BIPD tag and then dev-mode , and somewhere it should say elite_hand_left and other stuff.
it shouldnt be that hard fixing it, try looking in the original marine bipd-tag.

oeh forgot to say, be sure to make all weapons NON dual wieldable, or your marine is able to pick up about 4-5 weapons which is kinda weird

One more question:
How do I make the marines hold different guns they arent supposed to, like the sentinal beam?

Go into Insolence, then double click on the weapon you want it to hold. Then go to the bottom of the IFP, and you should see a few string Id's (Don't remember exactly what they are labeled as)I think weapon type, short form, and something else. Just make those strings identical to that ofa weapon he can hold (I.E. a Shotgun or Plasma Rifle or something) and that should fix your problem (You will need to do that to each weapon you want him to hold.)

The marine can't pick up the ammo for the sniper rifle. How does one fix this?

Hmm, Havn't encountered that problem, but I think a quickfix for it, would be duplicating the sniper, setting the ammo in clip to like 20, give it the hlmt of the ammo box, and spawn it on the map instead. Probably has something to do with whatever triggers the "Auto-pickup" of ammo. You might also check and see if it can pick up Active camo or an Oversheild (Not that marines need those ;o)

Nevermind, Im just stupid. I tried making the sniper ammo packs universal eariler so I could pick it up and use it for any gun. I guess I forgot to set it to work with the SMG. But thank you so much TFD and Monkey Terd.
