HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

So heres my problem:

My photoshop trial expired.
I would use DXTbmp but it wont install cause my hard drive is labeled J:, not C:.

I have heard that it is possible to skin Halo 1 and Trial with GIMP, but if so, where is the plugin and where do i put it?
