Help with DDS Plugin

I want to skin a Warthog and I have everything I need. Dothalo, Halo2IB, Photoshop CS2(Tryout version if it makes a difference), and the DDS plugin. I don't know where to put the DDS plugin, I opened up the Photoshop folder, I go to the 'Goodies' folder, then I go to 'Optional Plug-Ins', then the 'Photoshop Only' folder and then I copy the DDS plugin into the 'File Formats' folder. Then I close it and start up Photoshop and I click on 'Open' and I open my Wathog skin and it says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

Can someone please tell me where to put the plugin or tell me if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks.

Go to Adobe-Adobe Photoshop CS2-Plugins-Adobe photoshop Only-File Formats.
