Hex string editing

i followed this
http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23696 and got an exception, and i dont know why, does anyone know what im doing wrong? and also who would u make the string entries longer than they normally are without an exception because i know if your going to make them shorter u need to space them out with dots. Are there any sort of limits/restrictions on string entries??

ok
so, i could a.s.s.a.u.l.t. which is 14 spaces to ..n..o..o..b.. ?
and now i cant find the weapon strings anymore? how do i do that?

Well you could make it n o o b , with spaces instead of periods 9 believe. Just search for an ASCII string and type in to pick up and it will bring you to the weapons.
