Adding user created maps 2 halo

I need to know how to add user created maps to halo. such as Helix Canyon. I downloaded the file and opended it with hex editor, but i couldnt find something like scenarios/multi/ whatever. and dot halo wont open it. I tried adding the map with mainmenu editor, but did know what to put in the box where u usually put "scenarios\multi\BLAH\BLAH"
Pleases Help
Also if anyone knows any awesome user created maps tell me

This is for halo pc im guessing.
Just put the map in the halo pc maps folder and It should be in the mainmenu.
If its halo 2, We don't know how to put halo pc maps into halo 2.

Ignore that. In order for the map to play multiplayer, it will have to have SOME kind of scnr. Make sure that one does not in fact exist again.

O I guess I was wrong.
Ive never modded halo pc, Ive just been told by people that's how you do it.

I'm not sure i understand.
I have halo on my xbox harddrive.
I want to add a user created map.
Is this possible, what do i have to do?
Please explain deeply i'm a noob at this.
