HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

ok i have all my old maps in a halo 2 folder in the D drive. it also has bink and media and default.xbe in the folder. i take an unmodded map and apply a sppf patch and then go to the same sig resigner and click on beginning. then for the first window i click an unmodded copy of the map. in the second window i click on the modded level that has the sppf applied. i wait for it to say done and then i ftp the level "lockout.map.map" to my xbox and delete the old "lockout.map" when i play it loads the map but its just the normal unmodded level. what am i doing wrong?

As in the D drive of your Xbox?

That's the Halo 2 disc which you can't FTP files onto.

what folder am i supposed to put all the maps and files into then?

Use dvd2xbox to get the game files onto your Xbox's hard drive, you can find it at the usual places.

cant i ftp them onto the E drive? thats what ive been trying and i thought someone told me to do that.

Well, you can FTP them to a folder on your PC, then FTP them to your Xbox's E drive. dvd2xbox just puts them on the E drive without needing to go through your PC, as well as adding it to a location that the default.xbe is usually auto added to EvoX's launch menu.
