Make a custom gametype put it on AR. Then mod it on your comp, then put it back on AR and put it on your box.

Please show more detail in your posts. I really want to know how to do this, its my first step before I start modding.

1) Copy a gametype (Slayer or CTF or something) from XBox or get it off the internet.
2) Unzip the file. I use WinRAR and it works, I'm not sure if you can use WinZip. The layout should be as follows:

-UDATA
----4d530064
-------SaveImage.xbx
-------TitleImage.xbx
-------TitleMeta.xbx
-------7068C5550D6E
----------datelinfo.xbx
----------SaveImage.xbx
----------SaveMeta.xbx
----------gametype (ie juggernaut)

3)You want the gametype. Open Sav3r v.8 and edit the gametype mentioned above. Edit the options as you want by double clicking the things on the right. When you are done, click "Save as" and save your gametype.

4) This is where I'm lost. I'm pretty sure you need to re-archive the file. Also, I'm pretty sure you need to use the Sign.exe program to re-sign a file, but I'm not sure what to re-sign. Here are the options as I see them:
-Re-archive the files and re-sign the archive.
-Re-archive the files only.
-Re-sign the gametype and then re-archive the files.
All of these things returned an error of "invalid xbox save" when I dragged the save onto my Action Replay program.

5) If you manage to get past #4 somehow, drag and drop the gamesave into the "Memory Card" section of the AR program. Unplug the card and bring it to your XBox.

6) Take out any disk in your XBox and plug in the memory card. Go to the "Memory" section on your XBox, and then hit the right button to go to your memory card. Copy it to your hard disk, and boot Halo 2. The gamesaves should be on now.

Don't double post. I would go with "Re-sign the gametype and then re-archive the files."

If I remember correctly you need to RAR the gamesave and then put it in Action Replay.

Use XSavSig to resign the gametypes. Thats should fix your problem. It's alot easier than whatever program you were using.

yes! finally i figured it out, thx to a tut here at halomods.
heres a link: Tut

and, this is an easier to read, more noobie tut:

1) Copy a gamesave from your XBox or get one off the internet.
2) Use WinRAR to unarchive the files, but keep your original .zip file. It should look like this: (Note: words underlined are folders)
-UDATA
----4d530064
-------SaveImage.xbx
-------TitleImage.xbx
-------TitleMeta.xbx
-------7068C5550D6E
----------datelinfo.xbx
----------SaveImage.xbx
----------SaveMeta.xbx
----------gametype (ie juggernaut)

3) Use Sav3r to edit the gametype file above to your liking. The options on the right can be used by double clicking. Once you are done, go to File->Save.
4) Go back to your folder containing the .zip file and the UDATA folder. Drag the UDATA folder into the .zip file, and let it overwrite.
5) Drag the new .zip file into the Action Replay program. (NOTE: IF THE NAME DOES NOT CHANGE ON YOUR XBOX, DO NOT WORRY. IT WILL ONCE YOU START UP YOUR GAME.) Take out the memory card and bring it to your XBox. Take out any game disc in your XBox, and start your XBox up. Go to the memory section on your XBox, and then copy your gamesave to your hard disk. Once you have done this, boot your Halo 2 disc and the gamesave should be there.

Others:

Editing the name for Action Replay:
-Open datelinfo.xbx located in UDATA/4d530064 with Notepad. Edit the title and such accordingly. Remember to include "%20" for spaces and "%2" for colons (:).

Editing what appears in the Game Variant editing section in Halo 2:
-Open SaveMeta.xbx located in UDATA/4d530064/7068C5550D6E with Notepad. You don't have to include "%20" or "%3" at all this time, but remember to keep it simple. Don't make it too long or add in weird symbols.
