Need help with Xbox 360

For some reason my xbox 360 went weird and every time i try to turn on my xbox 3 red lights in the ring of light, light up. I went to the xbox web site and i wnet to the trouble shooting section but nothing works so before you redirect me there again i arleady tried it. also after i turn it on i smell a faint burning smell of burning plastic but i want to try to fix it before i return it and try to get a new one so please help me out.!11!!!!!!!

Maybe you should try ringing the tech support phone line.

Yeah the red lights mean that it is too hot. You'll probably have to return it, unless you take it apart and fix it.

yeah im probably gonna have to return it but i just want to see if anyone could help, i'll probably try the tech support line but i already sent an email to customer support

yeah i just returned it and got a new one
