Dumb Error

I get this every time I try to install the Halo CE update. It started happenin a while back after I uninstealled CE, then it just kept popping up. I just tried it again today so I could play Coldsnap, and I get it again.
Thats if I try to download it from the Halomaps.org site. If I try to do it by loading th game and have it check for updates and stuff, it will say I have to be logged onto a Windows user with administrator rights. And then I try every single user and it still gives that error.

Install Halo PC if it isn't already installed.

I get a simalar error. I have Halo PC on my computer but everytime I load Halo:CE I get this error:
"Please insert the correct Halo CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"
Does this mean I need to go buy Halo PC?

Most companies require you to have a legal copy of the game before playing it.

Ok this is dumb, I have both Halo PC and CE installed now and it still won't let me install the frickin patch.
