Command Prompt problems..

Well, Im trying to ping my xbox because FTPing itsnt working, but when I try and ping it , a little message pops up and says.. "ping.com is not a valid Win32 application."
Then it says "acess is denied"...
Whats wrong?
Edit: I do have a virus on my computer though, im working on fixing it now.

Ahh, the infamous .com extension. I never knew it, but apparently ".com" extensions take precedence over ".exe" extensions.
But what I don't understand, is why it's not letting you run the "ping" command. Usually that kind of trojan attacks the C:\WINDOWS\system32\ directory and the "cmd.exe" file.
Can you take a screenshot of what exactly you are doing? Just so I can look at it and make sure you're doing everything right. Also, go to C:\WINDOWS\ and try to find the "system32" folder. Is it there?

Im going to do a full system restore because I cant get rid of this virus and Norton Anti-Viris is being crappy.. Ill let you know what happens after its done..

Anti-Virus programs, Firewalls, Proxies, NAT's, and Anti-Spy/Adware programs/hardware are not infallible.
They can, and they will make mistakes of letting harmful code into your system.
At
WebUser.co.uk find their forums, read their HighJackThis tutorial, and then post your log.
They will look through it and help you fix your problem.

Ok, I did a system restore and everything is working fine now, including FTP'ing
