main menu problems

i am having a problem with the main menu. when i try to put text there is an outline that wont let me see it and the outline is the shape of halo 2. wat do i do

Open up the DDS in Photoshop
Go to the Layers window
Click the Channels tab
Go to the Alpha Channel
Edit > Select all (Ctrl+A)
Delete
Save
Inject
Go to the Layers window
Click the Channels tab
Go to the Alpha Channel
Edit > Select all (Ctrl+A)
Delete
Save
Inject

what .dds? the starting_screen.dds or what?

Whichever the Halo 2 text is that you edited, I don't know the name off the top of my head.
