black screen of doom...

Oki was recently making a mod... and i load to a black screen and as soon as the screens about to go into the actual map(playing mode) it freezes on the black screen. can anyone help?!

give more information, tell us what map, what you have changed, try retracing your what you did. or do what i do, start over.

I'm pretty sure that happens if you add a new map to the main menu after the AU, which version of Halo 2 are you using? Or are you even adding the map to your main menu?

No, the AU will just boot you back to the Pre-Game Lobby.
It's probably something wrong with the map.
