For the past month or two when I've had free time, I've been looking into custom sound injection for halo 2.
I think I now know everything I need to to inject the sounds, the problem is, I cannot
encode the sounds at the bitrate which is required.
You see I've been searching all over the internet in my usual ways just typing in non specific things to try and get what I need and I can't. I've tried talking to friends, I've tried talking to GAMA and I cannot find what I need.
So finally, after all my rambling I'm asking: Can anyone find any program that can encode with custom codecs at the bitrate of 352kb/s? Is it here at halomods and I dont know?
Well anyway, hopefully you guys can answer this as I'mgetting tired of searching. Also, if this isnt too "halo2-modding" enough, you can delete this post and I'll understand

It's up to you to find me.

I think I shal add a coment, I dont know what of youre meaning in youre post but If youre thinking of cutom sound injecting to halo2 then I think I have the program, although it can only work for the main menu.
PM if needed but anyway's If you want in a map you swap out in old adi youre music in depspence or dot halo. There are some niffty tools in the old adi like modle injecting, as well as sound injection if you go all the way to the wright you will see you can inject a .wma into the map of anysound for anything in the game for that map.
So if this comment does not give some fire idea's of complexity I have no idea of what youre trying to do. This has been fun and although exciting to wright some of my history down comming out of my head I think you, shall make an idea out of this then or, maybe no anywho thanks for reading my thought's in the complex manner. Also one more comment, in adi there are a few bugs in the that prefixed tool so I shal tell you this, be very wise in the texture's and pickyness in what you youse in you map making halo2moding of youre young day but who has one to know of I am but of the just 14 an age of most complexity in a mind of a minds state. So if you want you can try yousing adi in some curyosity in the program or not if you like. In the old adi it has it but in the 2.0 vertion or what ever vertion you people do with these days in tools I would recommend you should try it It has some funy. Options in witch in some cases will allow some bits of music to convert into halo2.
Hope this helps

As much as I appreciate you trying to help...It doesnt help much.
Sure I could try and duplicate the mainmenumusic in a map and then have to learn to internalise sounds and then inject wma's over it...But what I'm trying to achieve is basically the proper method.
halo2 mainly uses xbox adpcm for sounds with a bitrate of 352kb/s (Surround sound stereo) so if you were to inject a sound over it other than that bitrate it will come up as distortion in game.
So if I were to find a program that can encode a sound file to xbox adpcm at the bitrate of 352kb/s it would be as simple as injecting the sound into the map and I'm done, no internalising, no duplicating.
you get me?
