ok i just finished my own mod and i wanna now how do i put it in a PPF file or can i just have ppl download the bloodgulch.map file

Well obviously you didnt try because thats what PPF Studio is for...making PPF's. Try again.

you have to change the edning of i to .ppf, even though it does say .map. It works, trust me.

anyways why cant u just put the modded bg into a zip and have it hosted and put the link in here?

I'd realy like to know who it is that said that. I heard it is against the law, I heard it isn't.

Think about it...Bungie makes a map and you take it and make colors on it then post it as yours. Wouldn't that make you mad if someone posted something you spent a lot of time on and said it was theirs?

makking a ppf is the same. u take the map and change it but u make it into ppf file. whats the difference it does the same dmg

and ppl have done it before whats ganna happen u get sent to jail... i dont think so

Dont double post. I dont want to take the time to tell you what the difference is. use google to do that.

ppl do this all the time. all they do is put it in a zip and has ppl download it. and they dont get yelled at unless the mod sucks. and i bet uv done this so. almost everyone has and here are 2 mods that are kinda popular that have the bloodgulch.map file

Here is One reason

Well seeing how you gave references to PC links.. That first one should have been deleted for not having a ppf. It was locked instead by [ZMT] L33T. The second link is a rebuilt map. We allow people to post full .map files if the map is rebuilt. Keeping it in .ppf format keeps Halomods bandwith down. This site gets many user starting new threads every day with their mods included. It's only to help this site. You may post a .map file if you were to rebuild the map (i.e. add a pelican into a MP map). So basically, if you mod was rebuilt you may post a .map file in the PC section.

Seriously? They are both ppfs, once again. Please look at the format of it before you try to prove me wrong.
