exporting as .obj ?

is it possible to export say in_amber_clad_to_scale (the mach) as a .obj ? if so how do i do it? any help with this would be great, i am really sleepy and if this is something i should already know how to do and it probably is, then sorry. please post a link to a tutorial if possible if not a short description of what to do would work fine. thanks.
