Help With 3d Modeling {XBOX}

Ok I need help,
I am trying to model, well basically anything i can, but nothing is working.
For When i try to model guns i open darkmatter, expot the model, open it is Maya, Save it in fbx format, then open up 3ds max and change the format to .odj and i rename the file to w/e the file was before. for example sentinel_gun.gun.base[0][0][4]. When i go to import or inject the file back using darkmatter, it says this Image

Can someone help please before i breake my F*ing Controller!!!

u have to make sure ur replacing all the obj files with the one u changed, not just literally that one:

for example:
sentinel_gun.gun.base[0][0][1]
sentinel_gun.gun.base[0][0][2]
sentinel_gun.gun.base[0][0][3]
sentinel_gun.gun.base[0][0][4]

Now u changed the last one (sentinel_gun.gun.base[0][0][4]). Now when u extract the model it comes in a folder with all those. U have to make 4 copies of ur changed one and rename them to those 4 names and copy those over the old ones in the extracted files.

If u did that then ur poly count is probably to high
