HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

So i Reformated my hard drive and i had to re install halo. So I install the drivers for my video card(Its a ATI Readon 9500) And I installed Halo and when i start to play it it comes up with "A problem occurd initilizing DirectDraw. Hardware Acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG" I cant figure it out. I run DXDIAG and looked through that but i cant figure it out. Please help me out

I had the exact same problem, it wouldn't work after I reformatted. If I remember correctly, I fixed it by going to the Halo root directory and running the manual Halo Updater.
