When I try to get on a search engine, such as google, yahoo, and altavista, I get rerouted to a search engine called grabitfast.net. I have tried spyware and adware destroyers, but its still there. I know its not really related to halo, but can someone please help? :(

I had a problem where there was an ad, and it actually redirected anywhere that I went to some popup window saying " If your CD Drive is opening, then you have spyware problems. Get blahblahblah to get rid of it now! " And of course, my CD Drive opened, and they were obviously using hacking as a marketing tool. ANyways, sorry for the long story, but have your tried a trojan virus scanner? Look around at google, get past the redirecting.

Make sure to update Ad-Aware, it's very effective when up to date! I ran it once and had like no spyware then updated and had a few processes(ouch) running on my system. They update the reference file very often, I've noticed, which is good.

yeh...there is a really good one called spybot, search and destroy. I had 287 problems with my machine and it fixed them....but u have to wait a little bit to be able to get rid of them all though...

Demonic Spartan: using hacking as a marketing tool
That isnt hacking dood its VBscript... but i think that particular ad uses javascript. hacking is barely ever used for marketing (thats what cracking is) a hacker is some one who NEVER EVER has a malicious purpose and never purposely damages ANY files. I'm sorry if im being a bit touchy about the subject but I myself am a hacker(NOT a cracker) and i have many other hacker friends. I have NEVER EVER hacked halo or cheated and i never intend to because that is what we call a script kiddie (if u have ever heard of them, the Ins4n3 ScR1pt k1dd13s). Although hacking involves connecting to a computer to the point where you have access to most every file.
