Go to Start>Run> "dxdiag" (minus the quotes)
Once the DirectX Diagnostic Tool is open, find the "display" tab at the top.
Click it, and you will be given details of your video card. Once here, look to the middle of the screen and you will see this:

Make sure "DirectDraw Acceleration" is "Enabled".
You also might want to check your version of DirectX.
The most current version is DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904).

On the "System" tab, up at the top, tell me how much memory your PC has.
It looks as if your video card is ok, but you may not have enough system RAM to play it.
EDIT: Also, you might want to look into updating your drivers. Search for an Intel 82810 driver. And see if they have anything newer than the driver you're running now.

.. What?OdinVII wrote:My friend had that problem. just search 'DXDIAG' or w/e it is on google and youll get a link you can download it at.
"Dxdiag" is not something you can download. It is a DirectX utility, which you execute through the run box.
Odin, please know what you are talking about before you post.
I appreciate the help, but false information is just going to make this harder on Sord.
I have 254MB RAM, Will that work. I also notice on yours that you have version 9 or higher and i have 8, would that matter.

Your computer is completely capable of playing Halo PC.
Your video card is.. lacking, but it will still play. I don't think Halo PC requires DirectX 9.0c, but to be on the safe side, go ahead and download the newest version.
Also, check for driver updates of your video card. That's most likely the problem.

That is Intel's site.
How can you have a more up-to-date driver than the manufacturer?
This is interesting. Your video card can run HPC, and your computer is fine as well.
Your DirectX is up-to-date, and your driver (supposedly) is fine.
I have no idea why it won't run.
Last two things I can suggest would to be re-install it, and contact support over at Bungie.
