Exporting with gmax need some help!!

I was wondering if anyone knew model as .3ds cause the only format i see is .p3d and milkshape cant open that format.
i believe only 3ds max can export as a .3DS. here is the 3ds max 8 free 30 day trial ( the link is on the right)
