WiFi boosting

Post by QMan »

I have a freind who has a cheap router and he can't
get a new one, the signal is really bad (REALLY BAD)
and he can't get on Xbox live half the time,

I was just wondering if any one new some cheap
singal boosters or some Tips&Tricks like putting tin foil on your
seiling or something that takes little or no money,

And Note: We don't mod on live we will never mod on live
so don't worry,

Thanx,

Saying that makes it fishy.....mb I wont help.... try putting the Router high up, or connect it directly via cable.

I don't even have a mod chip in my Xbox check all my Topics And post
I don't even know how to install the mod chip thats on my shelf right now,
besides it's the kind that shuts off when you go on live,

And I play on a 360

Fine then I will just try another forum, I just wanted to know because
my friend hasn't ben on in 3-4 days the only time he can go on live
is when he come over to my house, and he can't go to wired because
he's xbox and big screen Tv is in the basement and parents cable line is upstairs,

And I just wanted to let every body know that I'm not a XBL modder,

I gauss he'll never get it fixed :-(

What we did was drill through a wall close to the router and route the cord through the cieling. But if your renting I wouldn't do that.

this is my set up

Router downstairs>100' cable to my room>network switch on the 100' cable

that gives my 4 extra ports a network switch cost like 25 dollars and there worth it
