Hey, recently I have been having trouble converting Halo PC mods to my mac. Heres what I did

Not all work using that method. Usually it's due to a duplicate offset. You can fix it, but it takes time. I'd only recommend it to advanced modders though.

Ok thanks that helps a lot 
So is there a was to tell if there is an offset defect or am I going to have to try through trial and error which ones work and which ones dont?
