HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I softmodded my friedns xbox with the Softmod Installer Deluxe for 007:AUF, and everything seemed to go well. So i FTPed xsnes, surrealxxx, mameox, and Xenesis and halo 2 onto his xbox. Except now, the only thing that works is Xenesis. xsnes loads the game, because you can hear it, but you cant see it, and surreal64xxx and mameox freeze, and whenever i try to load halo 2 (either from the disc or from the hd) it says Disc Load Error.

Can anyone help me? I know it might be his xbox is an earlier version, but i also modded my other friends xbox, and his was just as old.

It's probably not the problem, but go to:
X:\
Y:\
Z:\
and
E:\CACHE\

And delete everything at those levels. Then try it again.

i know im doubple posting, but im not sure if you wouldve known i replied if i edited the post...

it still doesnt work. I've looked in google and it seems that im not the only one with the problem. But even when I restore the backup halo 2 still doesnt load.

Try restoring the M$ backup and see if you can play games off the disc.
If you can't, and you're sure that you copied the game (Halo 2) over to your xbox correctly, then I would say it's a problem with your HDD/DVD connection.
Open up the xbox and check it.

it plays everygame fine except halo 2, and I know that the Halo 2 on the harddrive is correct because i sent to my xbox and it worked fine there. And even after i restored the Msdash.

You must have a bad copy of Halo 2 then. Delete EVERYTHING from it. Including TDATA prints. (E:\TDATA\4d530064\)
Then recopy it to your HDD.

should i keep UDATA then? I mean, he beat the game himself...

You can just download a profile off of Xbox-Saves or something. Go ahead and delete everything.

nope, i deleted anything that has to do with halo 2 on his harddrive, and it still doesnt load. When i first put h2 on his haerddrive, it did lload once, but the framerate was extremely slow and it eventually froze when i was choosing a map..
