Sorry to bother everyone but i heard you have to put halo 2 onto the HD but it won't fit. I can't and won't install a new HD because its to costy and very risky (well if i do something wrong). My xbox currently has around:
4GB
300MB
How is this? I have no games saves (except my halo 2 profile, and the linux installer ETC), no emus, no games, nothing except everything i need to run the damn thing.
So to the point does anyone know how to free up some space so i can fit the massive "halo2" onto my HD?
Thanx ( I know im a nOOb but i really need help)

NOTE: I have tried zipping halo 2 but the xbox freezes and i have to turn it off.

Actully I believe you only have to mod the cache files on the HD to mod Halo or Halo 2. But what do I know, all I've ever done is PC.

Yeah i suppose so but wouldn't you still need them on the HD to be able to extract and then mod them?

okay here:

1. start up you xbox with the modded dash without a game in the disk drive.
2. put in halo 2.
3.wait for it to say checking then game.
4. go onto your computer then open you FTP program of choice.
5. log into your xbox then navigate to the D: drive.
6. you should see a folder that has all of the Halo 2 in it.
7. extract that folder onto your desktop or somewhere that u can access easily.
8. go into that folder that u just extracted and delete the SP levels and intros.
9. then FTP the folder that you extracted into your Games folder on you modded dash on your Xbox.

you can now mod the old maps with Halo 2 on your HD.
i hope this helped

PS: I havnt modded on the xbox in like 2 months so if some of the things i said were a bit wrong then just look for simalar things in the tutorial.

fourn44 is right. But you should post all Xbox modding related things at http://www.xbox-scene.com, it isn't allowed here.

But im ok now i zipped all the folders trans fer tham to my pc delted them off my xbox( to make room) then ftp all the essentials back.
