Sky maping

I am a noob and I know my place, but I managed to hack in and have played with changing weopens. I tried changing the sky bitmaps using dot halo and photoshop and got them in, but they looked all chopy and gay. could i get some help

This is something we've never done before. My only possible explanation is something with the MIP map settings. I don't know. Just e-mail my friend and we'll send you the four bitmaps. We don't have a video capture card or anyway to take screenshots, sorry.
