Hi all

I'm having this problem of halo crashing the PC during my gameplay, I don't know whats causing it or where to even begin looking....

when it crashes, it will flash once or a few times of various things(don't know what else to call them, its random) and then go black and will make wierd sounds. There is no blue screen. The only way to bring my PC back up is to reset and cold boot.

I have searched everywhere for the answer....
and just so you know, I have two bought, legit licenses(I have two PCs)

I have Windows XP Professional
P4 3.0 GHz processor
2GB DDR ram
massive amounts of hard drive space still
GeForce 6800 GT OC with the latest nVidia drivers downloaded yesterday
and the latest SB Audigy drivers as well....

So if anyone knows where to begin or how to fix it so I don't have to resort to the "Bill Gates Method of fixing your computer" let me know....

I found out what the problem was...

I can only do 30FPS in the halo settings, anything other than that and the game crashes...

so, now if anyone has a solution to that problem please let me know :)

1st off dont double post!!!

so if you cant change from 30fps, dont change it!! another way to fix your crashing problem might be that you have too many apps running. turn off all messengers, Steam, Limewire, that kind of stuff. If problem persists, Kick and scream like a little baby and repost if problem reoccurs.
