Programming

Alright, I think that this isnt the right place to post this, but i have no clue where else too.. I was going to start programming using c++ and i was wondering.. is there a site that has tutorials or anything to get you started? and if so, could you tell me it? and for programming, do you like.. have a program to program in, or do you use like.. notepad? Yeah, im a noob, but please try to help me.. Thanks.

You will need some type of compiler also. (I dont do Cpp so I dont know)

Yeah for a (free) compiler go to this place and download "Dev-C++." By the way....what are you working toward, just programming or game programming or what?

thanks for all the help.. and im aware, i mod halo and ive been a member here for a while, i just couldnt think of where to post. And im trying to just program.. like make simple little executables for now, and than work my way up to bigger stuff, and than program games. I cant take the computer programming course till gr.11, so i want some basic knowledge before than. Thanks.
