Help with models

Im a noob when it comes to models

im trying to make a starwars mod on containment and i got the 2 sided light saber for lockout and the xwing for containment. I want to know how to get the lightsaber model into contain. and use the xwing model for the banshee. (I would just use the patch but it changes around the projectiles and overwrites the sentnil beam) i dont mind overwriting sonething else
