Halo PC cd to scratched to read.

Well somehow my cd was scratched up so badly it will not read the cd at all. I tryed cleaning it off but and other stuff but nothing works so I was wondering if there was a way I could play halo without the cd....Halo is installed and I bought the game myself a year or 2 ago and still have the cd code. I just really do not wanna spend the money on another cd.....Any suggestions...All I really wanna play is halo ce and halo online like I always do....The scratches are not so deep that is had affected the metal part or I do not believe it has. But I do not have a gamedoctor cause I lost that thing atleast a year ago and well....Same thing with my doom 3 game.....Why the heck do we need the cd's I know some games do not like HL2....darn..
