trainer help

hey guys i'm just wondering here, what exactly is a trainer?(like people say they have trainers for halo 2 and such)

Trainers are apps that run in the memory of the xbox. While a game is running, the trainer also sits in the RAM and when an certain button is clicked/pushed, called IGK (In Game Keys), it will edit a value on the fly. Somewhat like a debug, but not really..
