Alright, can someone PLZ point me in the right direction!

My first attempt to softmod my xbox, and I screwed up BIG TIME! (as in, just forget it) My second attempt was yet again, unsuccessful! Can someone plz explain to me the safest way (and safest installer) for installing softmods. I'm using the Splinter Cell Exploit.
