halo pc help

okay i bought halo pc today because my new computer could run it. Well i installed it and when i tried to play it it said something about vorbisfile.dll thing well i found it in the cab6 thing and extracted it to the first thing you main area of the cd and reinstalled the game but that didnt work. Any ideas, and yes i did buy the game legaly

try fully uninstalling it, then installing it again. also, you shouldnt have extracted that file, it might screw it up more. i dunno, i've never done stuff like that, heck, you might know more about what files to extract than i do, lol, im mostly modding, skinning, etc, but i try to help where i can anyway, lol.

the extracting wouldnt hurt it
did it ever run?
if not u could try 2 manulaly DL the patch then try
read somewhere wouldnt start till they had patch...

okay i got that thing gone but now i got another promblem. When i load it says Please insert the HALO CD-ROM, which i had but it still wont work

sounds to me like the disc is screwed up, not the files. have ne scratches or nething on it? that can cause problems.

were there any problems before? during installation with the process of extracting cab6?

hmm, well, i really couldnt tell u then. id just uninstall the whole thing, make sure u get everything out, then install it again, and see if that works. if not, well im sry to say i dunno wat the problem is, and ull prolly hav to get professional help, or maybe not even be able to play halo
. god i hope that doesnt happen to u, lol. but if uninstalling then reinstalling doesnt work, try calling the tech support number thing they have sumwer in the book, i believe. they might be able to help.
