how do i save halo 2 to my xbox?!
Ok, so don't think that I'm making this thread out of pure laziness. I've looked around the forums for a while and i still cant find a tutorial or something on how
. I know you can do it with a modchip, but i've heard from many people that you can, even without one. I've been softmodding for a few weeks now so I'm not totally new to all this. Any help or links to tutorials and how-to's would be much much appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
what a beautiful sig i have.

Yes. If you know how to FTP then you are in good shape.
Put in the Halo disc into the tray and let it spin up. (Make sure that you have your xbox set to not Auto-boot discs.)
Once it has been 'read', but not loaded, then FTP your xbox. Head to the D:\ directory.
It will then list out all the content on the disc. Copy all of that to your computer. Let that transfer, and have a cookie.
Now once that is done, you need to delete all the single player maps. This way it doesn't take too much space from your HDD.
Once they are deleted, go to E:\Games\Halo\. You may have to make those folders. Once there, copy all your stuff from your computer to that directory and reboot the xbox. It should now recognize the Halo 1 xbe and list it as a playable game off the HDD.

i'm not stupid.
^ taken directly from bungie's websiteIt's very easy for us to detect and ban anyone who is using modded content on Xbox Live or engaging in a variety of other bannable offenses. It may not happen immediately, due to the sheer volume of players, but rest assured it will catch up to them and they WILL be permanently banned from matchmaking.
what a beautiful sig i have.
If you sign into xbl with your chip enabled or softmod in your case, as soon as the countdown gets to 0 in a matchmade game lobby a message will come up saying "One or more players in this Party has been banned from Halo 2 Matchmaking"
Yes you will be able to play custom games, but its not really worth it just 'cos you cant be bothered to boot from the disk, my advice... don't mod on Live.
I know all this because my friend signed into Live without realising the chip was enabled, he was "kinda" pissed off!
