help w/modeling

Hey, i was just wondering what u name certain things in modeling programs to make them appear as water in halo. was it, "water!" or, "water!$" or some thing like that? thx

Water would be Water! (as the water shader is called water). Also, open up the water shader itself in Guerilla (in b30), and uncheck the box that says Base Map Alpha Modulates Reflection. That causes it to form into the shape of Death Island if it is checked.

Also, to make the water have fog below it (such as in Death Island), make the material Water!$. Then, in Sapien, add the fog. It'll automatically appear under the water when you add it to your map's cluster.

thank you "SuperSunnyIsSoDelight" :) i needed that, also do you have to name the terrain or any other objects anything special? i looked it up on wikipedia once, but i cant find it. :cry:

If you add % to the material name, that material becomes double-sided (glass perhaps).

Check out the other material options in the material overview. There is one for ladder, only-collidable materials, fog, etc.
