Ok i'm having similar issues at the moment with importing custom sounds using HaloMapTools v3.5

I've been using Goldwave and the Xbox ADPCM codec to convert some new weapon sounds so that i can remove the old ones from Halo PC. Before you inject the sound itself you need to take note of the existing sound in question. For instance i have been trying to import a new sniper rifle firing sound. Under the tag editor it shows the current format of the sound. You have to encode your sound at the same rate if you want to inject it using HMT unless you rebuild the map using tags.

So for the sniper rifle you will need to select the 22000 hz mono option for the inject to work.

save & inject.

BUT for some reason my sounds keep coming out extremely fuzzy and quickened. Does anyone know why this occurs? i really need to find a solution for my Mars Base map that i'm doing for one of my university projects.
