multiplayer tab problem

look i was trying to make a new mp tab for main mmenu u but i tryed to hex it but i get all these wierd symbols i dont understand heres the tut i followed http://halomaps.com/adding-mptabs.html i use dot halo

I followed a tutorial exactly the same as that. My maps show up in the map menu. When I try to play a map, the screen goes black (like when normally loading a map), but it just returns to the pre game lobby or the main intro menu.
